Meeting between Rec Center and the MSCC has been set for April 13, 2009 to discuss meeting spaces in the Rec Center during the MSCC renovation. NCAA Swimming Mens and Womens Tournaments hosted March 2009 at TAMU Natatorium. The Rec Center has received positive feedback on the facilities etc. Displaced swimming students have said that it is worth the difficulty because of the positive PR for TAMU. A bouldering wall will be built near the climbing wall. Construction will begin on June 1, 2009. The bouldering wall will be three-sided and eight feet high. The climbing wall will be renovated around July 1, 2009.
The Golf course’s cartpaths will be undergoing a $400,000 renovation in the coming months. A concrete pad around the clubhouse up to the cart-barn will also be added with the addition of a new awning as well. General Weber is to host a tournament over Memorial Day weekend to kickoff the renovation fundraisers.
